HC Deb 01 July 2002 vol 388 cc175-6W
Mr. Dismore

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the ruling in the Court of Appeal concerning Louis Farrakhan. [54478]

Beverley Hughes

We were extremely pleased to have won this case in the Court of Appeal. This vindicates the view of my right hon. Friend, the Home Secretary and his predecessors that the Home Secretary has the right to exclude someone from the United Kingdom if it is considered that their presence is not conducive to good public order.
