To ask the Secretary of State for Health what progress has been made with preparing the National Service Framework for neurological conditions; and if he will make a statement. [29110]

Good progress has been made on preparatory work for the National Service Framework (NSF). The Department has held a number of meetings with a range of voluntary and professional groups, patients and users to hear their views and received many written submissions. A scoping event was held on 12 November at which some of the key generic issues the NSF should address were identified.
