§ Dr. HowellsWe have no plans to bring forward a new Broadcasting Bill. However, we are planning to publish in the spring of this year a draft Communications Bill, which will implement the policies set out in the White Paper on Communications that was published in December 2000. The Communications Bill will set up a new converged regulatory structure for telecommunications, spectrum management and broadcasting.
