To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what legal powers local authorities have to introduce passive traffic calming on trunk roads. [26470]

Trunk roads are the responsibility of the Highways Agency. Local authorities have no legal powers to introduce passive traffic calming measures on trunk roads.
