§ Dr. HowellsThe Department has needed to relocate some divisions during the last four years and refurbishment has been necessary in those cases in preference to higher rental costs for property offered by developers. In 1999 the Government Art Collection was 503W rehoused at a cost of £144,000. In 2000 the cost of moving towards a single roof solution for the Department was £615,000 and improving facilities in 2000 and 2001 was at a cost of £375,000 and £648,000 respectively.
