To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many working age clients have made a claim for a benefit other than jobseeker's allowance in the ONE Pilot areas since the introduction of compulsory work-focused interviews; and what percentage have failed to take part in the interview. [holding answer 11 January 2002]: For the period 3 April 2000 to 28 December 2001 a total of 261,742 claims for benefits other than jobseeker's allowance were received in ONE Pilot offices. In 1.1 per cent. of these cases the person claiming has failed to take part in a work-focused interview.
