To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what the cost was of(a) printing, (b) publishing and (c) distributing the Sustainable Development Commission Review. [25283]

Mr. Meacher

I understand from the Sustainable Development Commission that the approximate printing, publishing and distribution costs of their review were as follows:

  1. (a) £8,500 for printing;
  2. (b) £10,200 for publishing (including editing, design and production); and
  3. (c) 2,000 for postage (this figure does not include copies distributed using the Inter-Departmental Despatch Service).

All of these figures exclude VAT.
