To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport if she will establish a national sports museum; and if she will make a statement. [26095]

§ Mr. Caborn
The Government have no plans to establish or fund a national museum of sport. My Department has previously received representations from organisations seeking to establish privately funded sport museums. The establishment and funding of such museums is a matter for those organisations.
