§ Ms KeebleThe major repairs allowance is calculated on a per dwelling basis. Between 1 April 2000 and 31 March 2001 the number of local authority dwellings in Tower Hamlets fell by almost 6 per cent. However, a 2.4 per cent. increase in the allowance per dwelling for next year restricted the overall reduction in Tower Hamlets' 2002–03 allocation to 3.6 per cent.
