§ Ms KeebleThe Housing Health and Safety Rating System will set out a new approach to the assessment of housing conditions. The Government intend to legislate, as soon as parliamentary time allows, so that local authorities can take action against properties posing health and safety risks on the basis of the new system.

§ Ms KeebleWe consulted last year on a framework of legislation and guidance within which local authorities would use the Housing Health and Safety Rating System as the basis for action against unacceptable housing conditions.
