To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills whether the special grants allocation for schools is to continue next year. [24281]

Yes. School Standards Grant (SSG) will continue in 2002–03. SSG rates for next year will be as follows:

SSG will continue in 2003–04, uprated by a further 2.75 per cent.
