§ Yvette Cooper[holding answer 30 January 2002]: There is no single assessment process for malnutrition.
The single assessment process for older people, published on 28 January, requires health and care professionals to assess the nutritional status of older 977W people when it is necessary to assess their needs. Specific estimates of the cost implications of this part of the assessment have not been undertaken.
