Mr. Salter

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what his Department's policy regarding the timescale for the introduction of the automatic train protection warning scheme was(a) in 2000; and (b) as of 4 February 2002; and if he will make a statement regarding changes of policy between these dates. [34371]
