§ Mr. JamiesonThe cost of developing and implementing the Stingray mobile camera system was some £2.2 million. This is made up of £1.4 million for purchase of equipment and IT system developments; £0.3 million staffing; and £0.5 million for other costs, including publicity.
In its first year of operation, Stingtray generated £2.08m in fines, penalties, court costs and relicensing revenue.
