§ Mr. MilibandThe Department does not hold information on funding provided at constituency level. Most funding provided by the Department is distributed via local education authorities. The table shows the Government's education Standard Spending Assessment and departmental grants allocated to Portsmouth local education authority in 2002–03. Where possible, funding intended for secondary schools has been identified; but for most grants it is not possible to break down the allocations for secondary schools (pupils aged 11–16). Grants are mainly allocated across all phases and the amounts going to each type of school will be a matter for local decision.
