To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if he will make a statement on hotel charges for hospital services; [83344]

(2) if he will make a statement on charging patients for hospital food; and which hospitals charge patients for meals on the ward. [83347]

Mr. Lammy

The Government have no plans to introduce "hotel" charges including charges for food in national health service hospitals.
