§ Margaret HodgeThe common inspection framework was introduced by the Office for Standards in Education and the Adult Learning Inspectorate on 1 April 2001, as required by the Learning and Skills Act 2000. It sets out the principles applicable to the inspections of all Government funded post-16 non-higher education and training, (except school sixth forms), including the further education sector.
