§ Lord Hunt of Kings HeathThe amount recharged by the National Health Service Pensions Agency to employers in England and Wales in respect of early retirements for the financial year 2001–02 was £1.56 million. Data for financial year 2002–03 are not yet available.
Early retirements include those from age 50 on the grounds of redundancy and retirements in the interests of the efficiency of the service.
