To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what information the Government collates on the final destination of shipments of military aircraft spares shipped to India in(a) 2000, (b) 2001 and (c) 2002. [81727]

For all export licence applications, the exporter is required to provide details of the end user. The stated end user is one of the factors taken into account when assessing the application. We do not collate information

The total amount paid out under the ex-gratia arrangements that operated between 1993 and 1995 was just under £14 million. No breakdown by port was kept at that time.
