To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when and how he will consult on his proposal to allow approved companies to defer paying VAT on imports until they submit their VAT returns. [52372]

HM Customs and Excise have already initiated discussions on these proposals with affected businesses, and will issue a formal consultation document in due course.
