To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions if he will make a statement on the progress of the South Coast Multi-Modal study. [49431]

§ Mr. Jamieson
The South Coast Multi-Modal study is consulting on a preferred strategy in May/June 2002 and will be looking to produce a consultant's report in July. This should be in a position to pass to the Regional Assembly in August 2002 for consideration in their November plenary session.
