Overtime

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what his policy is on overtime payments for staff in his Department. [49128]

Mr. Hutton

The policy of the Department is to recompense staff who work more than their contracted hours either by payment of overtime or by giving time off in lieu of the hours worked. Overtime is not paid to Senior Civil Servants and other senior managers.
