Department's review of the oil and gas industry's code of practice dealing with the negotiations for access to oil and gas infrastructure. [48852]

Mr. Wilson

I have today placed in the Libraries of the House recommendations to industry to consider limited bi tt worthwhile changes to its Infrastructure Code of Practice. The proposed changes are intended to improve the transparency and conduct of negotiations for third party access to UKCS pipelines and processing facilities. This is the final element of the Departmental response to its consultation on Oil and Gas Infrastructure: Access Provisions and Voluntary Arrangements, which included a review of the effectiveness of the voluntary Code. The recommendations build on views expressed and suggestions made in response to that consultation.
