To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what new measures his Department took in 2001–02 to protect its property from theft or damage. [47249]

Apart from the temporary introduction of the searching of bags and vehicles, my Department's existing protective measures were maintained and no new measures were considered necessary.
