However, many public bodies in the culture and leisure field, including many funded by DCMS, participate in such initiatives and, during the period in question, applicants from within the fields of tourism, culture and leisure received ERDF finance in excess of £200 million and will continue to receive funding throughout the 2000–06 programme.
