To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions if he will list the number of subscriptions to(a)digital terrestrial, (b)digital satellite and (c)digital cable television held by his Department for services in any departmental building from which Ministers work, stating for each subscription its (i) cost and (ii) purpose. DTLR subscribes to seven satellite TV packages for Ministers at a cost of £35 per month per subscription. The purpose is to ensure Ministers have easy access to news channels, including the parliamentary channel, so that they can keep abreast of events of the day that may be of interest to their areas of work within the Department.
