§ Dr. John ReidStage I of both the quinquennial reviews of the Compensation Agency and Forensic Science Northern Ireland have now been completed. The Secretary of State announced his decision to renew the executive agency status of the Compensation Agency to Parliament on 15 November 2001. Stage 2 of the review of the Compensation Agency is under way and a draft report will be delivered before the end of March 2002. The Secretary of State expects to make an announcement to Parliament shortly on the outcome of the review of Forensic Science Northern Ireland. Stage 2 of the review of Forensic Science will then be completed.
