§ Dr. HowellsIn 2000–01 the Government provided £24.9 million in grant-in-aid for the Tate Gallery of which £5 million was to cover the first 10 months of free admission at Tate Modern. In 2001–02 we increased this to £26.9 million of which £6 million is to enable free admission to continue at Tate Modern.
