§ Mr. TimmsThis Government have increased total spending on education in the UK by over £12 billion (33 per cent.) since taking office. Of the amounts which are relevant to schools and colleges 79 per cent. of the total expenditure is currently devolved to schools and colleges in England. The figures for other countries are a matter for the devolved Administrations.
