HL Deb 23 October 2001 vol 627 c119WA
Lord Morris of Manchester

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many haemophilia patients were infected with hepatitis C by contaminated National Health Service blood products; and how many have since died in consequence of their infection. [HL855]

Lord Hunt of Kings Heath

We estimate that around 4,000 haemophiliacs were infected with hepatitis C and that over 100 have since died.
