§ Mr. BradshawI can assure my hon. Friend that HMG are determined that this country should not be used as a base for supporting terrorism overseas, in any way. The Terrorism Act 2000 (which entered into force in February 2001) is designed to help the UK police and courts take effective action against those who seek to plan, carry out or support terrorism from or in the UK.
