§ Mr. CabornThe British Olympic Association has yet to decide whether or not to bid for the Olympics in 2012, 2016 or later. The Government remain committed to supporting a viable Olympic bid. My officials are discussing the terms of a research consultancy with the BOA, Greater London Authority and the London Development Agency which will aim to obtain the evidence required to enable the Government to make a proper assessment whether such a hid, if made, is viable.
