To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what progress has been made in the stage 2 study into air travel and health. [8148]

Stage 2 of the Government's study into air travel and health was completed in June and a copy of the consultants' report has been placed on the Department's website. We are actively considering how to implement its main recommendations. In particular, urgent consideration is being given to possible collaboration with the World Health Organisation's recently announced global study of deep vein thrombosis.
