§ Mr. TimmsThe School Admissions Code of Practice recommended that LEAs set up local Admissions Forums as a vehicle for consultation and discussion of issues arising from proposed admission arrangements. The majority have already done so. LEAs currently have considerable costs associated with difficult admission issues and the benefits gained from resolving these matters more quickly make the setting up of forums, where they don't already exist, broadly cost neutral.
