To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if she will make a statement on the ability of Scottish Borders Council to carry out its statutory functions in relation to reserved matters. [17388]

Most of the statutory functions of the Scottish Borders Council relate to devolved matters. To the best of my knowledge, reserved matters have been dealt with appropriately by the Council.
