§ Mr. JenkinTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence what analysis of the threats to UK airports requiring military protection he has made; and if he will make a statement. [16157]
§ Mr. IngramSecurity at airports is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions. The threat of a terrorist attack on UK airports is constantly monitored by the appropriate authorities. There are, in place, a series of robust measures and contingency plans to guard against a range of different threats. These include the provision of military support, should it be required. These plans have been reviewed in the light of events of 11 September.
