To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs if she will make a statement on progress made towards a common EU fisheries licence, with respect to communitarisation of national fleets. [14816]

There has been no movement in this direction. The belief that this is a likely development is based on a misreading of the Swedish Accession Treaty and has no basis in fact.
