§ Margaret Hodge[holding answer 5 November 2001]: The latest available data on the proportion of 18-year-olds from each local education authority in England entering full-time undergraduate courses in the UK via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) are given in the table. The student figures in the table are 708W based on the home domicile of 18-year-olds, but it should be noted that pupils will not always attend a school or college in the same authority as the one in which they live.
