To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the saving to public funds that will be realised by the establishment of the Office of Government Commerce. [11842]

The OGC has been set a target to deliver £1 billion value for money gains across central Government by 2002–03. This will be achieved by Departments applying the tools, methods and techniques promoted by OGC.
