To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the changeover cost for(a) business and (b) the civil service, if the United Kingdom accedes to the euro. [160902]

The Government have not made any estimate of the cost of a changeover either to business or the public sector.
The cost of a changeover would depend on the overall approach taken and individual management decisions.
