§ Mr. BoatengOn 30 April 2001, eight prisoners were being held in special secure units (SSUs), six at Whitemoor prison and two at Belmarsh prison. Only prisoners categorised as category A exceptional escape risk are held in SSUs. We are not aware of any representations being submitted following observations made by medical examiners. The table gives the other information requested.
