HL Deb 08 May 2001 vol 625 c166WA
Lord Lucas

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, when they place a letter in the Library of the House as part of a Written Answer, they will make an electronic version of that letter available to Hansard, so that Hansardmay link the letter into the text of the answer in Hansard's online service. [HL1341]

Lord Falconer of Thoroton

The Government would be happy to accept the principle of such a change. However, this is also a matter for the House authorities to decide. There may well be cost implications that all parties would need to consider.

Lord Laird asked

Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will place on the House of Lords website all answers to parliamentary Questions which Ministers promise will be answered by outside agencies in letter form and which they say will be placed in the Library of the House, especially all Answers to Written Questions concerning the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission. [HL1510]

Lord Falconer of Thoroton

This is a matter for the House authorities.
