To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions (1) what studies have been undertaken by his Department into the driving of vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in weight by drivers under the age of 21 years; [159198]

(2) what studies have been undertaken by his Department regarding the risk of accidents involving drivers of vehicles in excess of 3.5 tonnes in weight without an HGV licence. [159199]
