§ Kate HoeyMy Department has not made any assessment of the facilities required to host the 2012 Olympic Games. The British Olympic Association (BOA) have primary responsibility for UK bids and have not yet taken a decision on whether to bid for 2012. However, we have seen a draft of the BOA' s feasibility report on what is required for a possible London bid for 2012. The Government will consider with the BOA, the Mayor, the Greater London Authority and other interested parties what further work will be needed to assess the costs and requirements of a London bid.
