To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what NHS provision there is for sufferers of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; and if he will make a statement; [141639]

(2) what provision for diagnosis there is in England and Wales within the NHS for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; [141638]

(3) what budget health authorities have to discharge their responsibilities for the treatment of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; [141637]

(4) what responsibility health authorities have for the provision of treatment of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome; and if he will make a statement. [141636]

The National Health Service provides Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) services for anyone who needs them in the same way as for other rare genetic disorders. These are funded from general allocations.

The National Specialist Commission Advisory Group is working closely with Wales to consider whether EDS services should be commissioned nationally.
