To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what representations he had made to the Government of Sri Lanka concerning the suspension of the Sri Lankan Parliament; and if he will make a statement; [6008]

(2) if he will ask the Commonwealth to send observers to the forthcoming referendum in Sri Lanka; [6009]

(3) what plans he has to send election observers to oversee the forthcoming referendum in Sri Lanka. [6010]
