To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how many(a) men and (b) women are training to become medical doctors at medical schools in the Greater London area. [4882]

2 Includes pre-clinical and clinical medicine. Graduate entrants to medical schools apply to study under the standard undergraduate route, joining in year 3 of the 6 year course. They are therefore included in these figures.
