To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many enterprise grants were awarded in the south-west in(a)2000 and (b)2001. [4146]

The number of enterprise grants awarded in the south-west was(a)13 in the calendar year 2000 and (b)25 so far in the calendar year 2001.

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the size of the fund for enterprise grants in the south-west was in(a)2000 and (b)2001. [4145]

§ Alan Johnson
The budget for enterprise grants in the south-west was £450,000 in 2000–01. An indicative budget at the same level has been set for 2001–02.
