To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions how many people were accepted as homeless in each of the London boroughs in each of the last five years; how many of these were accommodated in bed and breakfast establishments; and at what cost. [1737]

Information reported to the Department by London boroughs on the number of households accepted under the homelessness provisions of the 1985 and 1996 Housing Acts as being eligible for assistance, unintentionally homeless and in priority need, in each of the past five years, is as follows:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions what has been the average weekly level of(a) council rents in London and (b) rent charges for bed and breakfast establishments used by the London boroughs in each of the last five years. [1736]
