To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 24 January 2001,Official Report, column 577W, on US National Missile Defence, if he will make a statement on the content of the discussions between his Department and the previous US Administration. [148022]

We held extensive discussions with the previous US Administration on a wide range of issues relating to their National Missile Defence plans, notably the international security implications of their proposals.
